This feedback is long overdue but better late than never! I had a fantastic experience at Maple Leaf Rehab in Cascade Valley after a knee surgery last year. Jamie Kim, Liora, and the rest of the PT team kept me in top form throughout my recovery, and also kept me grounded, pulling me out of the initial weeks of immobility, eventually getting me back to full capacity. I eagerly anticipated every PT session! Each therapist at this facility is a skilled and empathetic pro. They are all approachable, will push you, and want you to excel in your strength and healing! Avoid spending money here! I made a booking and upon arriving promptly, I was instructed to return in 60 minutes. After waiting at a bagel spot across the street, I returned and requested a 60-minute massage. It commenced with an extra 20-minute wait before they began. The therapist was just okay, not exceptional like other places I've visited in the area. My main concern was that they attempted to cut my session short. At the 45-minute mark, the timer beeped, signaling the end, but after some discussion, I managed to get the remaining 15 minutes of my below-average massage. I frequently stroll past this establishment and decided to visit for the first time tonight to have my gel x removed. I neglected to peruse the feedback, and now I regret it. Initially, (like others) they attempted to lift the gel x ends with a transit pass and then resorted to using a drill, excessively shaving them down to the point of discomfort. I couldn't retrieve my credit card from my wallet without causing pain to myself and ended up in tears on my way home. I had a two-hour massage here a couple of weeks ago, and it was honestly one of the worst massages I've ever had. I did an hour on my feet and an hour on my back. I called ahead and was told I could walk in, but ended up waiting over 30 minutes. That was fine, I wasn't too bothered by it. The male masseur seemed disinterested in the massage from the start. He barely applied any pressure, even after I asked for more multiple times. I usually prefer light pressure, but this was way too light. His hands were freezing cold, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. I went to an ATM next door to get cash and, despite the disappointing service, I still left a $25 tip - all the cash I had left after being charged $125. The staff then mentioned a "minimum tipping policy," which I found quite off-putting.
