Bowery location: Alex has been fantastic - I usually have a clear idea of what I want when visiting the hair salon, but today I felt like trying something different, so I asked Alex for her opinion on what to do with my hair. Her suggestion was spot on, a much-needed change. The color and haircut turned out beautifully, and I'm really happy with them. I feel great about myself! Additionally, she was very kind and accommodating towards me and my daughter who was with me during the appointment - she understood when I needed to attend to her, and even with these unexpected moments, she finished right on time at 2 pm! I visited this establishment based on stellar feedback, but unfortunately, my visit was vastly different: I received a 60-minute massage for $60, but at payment, I was presented with a sign stating: Tip: $20, thus I had to pay $80 + taxes, nearly $90... During the massage, the therapist inquired if I wanted a facial treatment, which lasted less than 2 minutes... If the extra $20 was for that... I had a fantastic, swift, and cost-effective experience at "The Spot" on a Tuesday afternoon. Alex was able to assist me promptly. They aided in the positioning for the flat part and carefully placed the third piercing on my ear lobes (both sides) due to one ear being larger. In the end, the placements were spot on! The whole process took about 10-15 minutes and the total cost (including the jewelry) was $103 for three piercings. Alex had a great sense of humor and was very helpful, enhancing the overall experience. I am quite particular about my hair, and for $15 for a cut and wash, I am not completely satisfied but not entirely disappointed either. I did mention the skin fade to the barber three times, but there seemed to be a communication gap. Despite some nods of acknowledgment, the fade was not done, and the cut is a bit uneven. However, he did maintain the length I requested. There is a call box at the address to press so they let you in but when I arrived, a person came down without me buzzing and let me inside. 60 minute back rub = $55, 15 min foot rub $15 which I think is a great deal. Definitely a popular place. Looked clean and didn’t feel sketchy at all. Rooms are separated by curtains and then they have a separate area for reflexology.
