TIKA!!!!! I finally discovered a stylist who excels in providing a fantastic layered cut AND foil highlights (and isn't hesitant to use bleach). She is meticulous without being time-consuming and she truly listens to your preferences. I travel over 2 hours each way for Tika to work her magic on my hair. I have tested out all the top-notch salons in Boone and the nearby areas, and they either damaged my hair by applying bleach on previously highlighted hair or failed to lighten it enough, resulting in brassy tones. They also tend to rely on toners to mask their errors, which end up washing out within a week. The Refinery salon is cozy, neat, and inviting. Tika and the owner are the sole stylists. Tika's rates are incredibly reasonable. I willingly pay her more than her charges because she truly deserves it.
Chelsey always delivers exceptional results on my hair!! I have trusted her through my transitions from blonde to brunette, and from long locks to a shorter style:)
