Reluctant to leave a negative review. Visited this salon thrice and recommended it to friends. The initial two visits were satisfactory. However, during the last visit, I accompanied a friend for a spa pedicure and manicure. Opted to upgrade to the green tea spa pedicure for an extended massage, paying extra ($60 vs. $50). My friend commenced her pedicure at least 10 minutes before I did, without upgrading. The technician rushed through my pedicure, finishing at least 15 minutes before my friend, despite it being a longer service. Additionally, the gel application on my toes was subpar, as it started peeling after only a week, whereas it typically lasts over a month. Moving on to the gel manicure, within a week, the gel began peeling off in sizable chunks, resembling the Tinker Bell nail polish from the 80s. The technician inadequately cured each coat under the lamp, swiftly moving between hands without proper curing time. By the fifth day, two gel nails had already peeled off, escalating to eight nails by the seventh day, and the remaining two are peeling off on the ninth day. I maintain my nails well and work on a computer, so this premature peeling was unexpected. Despite the significant cost, the service was disappointing. Reluctant to revisit unless I can request specific technicians. Noticed similar rushed service complaints in other reviews, possibly by the same technician. While the salon has potential, one negative experience can significantly impact its reputation. Left a $105 bill and $120 cash, tipping less than usual due to the unsatisfactory service.
Embarking on my maiden pedicure journey. My feet were in dire need of attention. The technician exerted significant effort without any complaints. The only downside was the lack of communication due to the technician's language barrier. Overall, a commendable job. I plan to return now that I know what to anticipate, despite residing an hour away.
Third chance at pampering. Opting for a pedicure sans polish for the sheer relaxation and massage. Patronizing this place since its inception under the original proprietors. The recent experience pales in comparison. Various pedicure options tried, yet each time the stone massage felt rushed, with cold stones and a brief towel treatment. Then swiftly handed off to a speedy young male technician for a hasty paint job. The establishment boasts a stunning renovation, but the pedicures fail to meet expectations. I used to enjoy the shoulder massage at the end, which seems to have been omitted now. Still waiting for the speedy technician to return. Received a base coat, a single thin layer of color, and no top coat. The technician never came back. Another technician, the third for my singular pedicure, tidied up, and I left after donning my shoes. Supposed to have a light pink sparkle.
