I recently had a perm done at this salon. The initial price quoted to me was $75, but after the perm was done, additional products were applied to my hair without my consent. To my surprise, the final bill came out to be $135. Disappointingly, my hair appeared flat and devoid of any signs of a perm. I refrained from wetting or styling it for three days, hoping for improvement, but to no avail. What should I do next?
I was persuaded to opt for a quick express trim, which was advertised at $25 on the pricing list. Since I only needed a trim, I agreed. During the consultation, I clearly stated that I wanted to maintain my current style with just a trim. However, the stylist failed to mention the varying rates based on their experience levels. To my dismay, after a quick trim without any additional services like shampooing or styling, I was charged $40 instead of the expected $25 because the stylist was considered a "master level cutter." This information was not communicated to me beforehand. Due to this lack of transparency, I will not be returning to this salon.
Mmachi provided me with an excellent haircut and was exceptionally friendly. She took her time and ensured I approved of each section before proceeding.
