My first visit here was a disaster, and I will not be returning. The customer service was terrible, and there was a severe lack of communication among the employees and hairstylists. Yesterday, on 10/17/22, I was searching for a hairstylist/barber in uptown to cut my son's hair. After finding no availability elsewhere, I entered Berlin and inquired about same-day appointments. Despite being told they were fully booked, I was offered the option to schedule an appointment. When I asked about the price for a toddler haircut, a stylist with blonde hair quoted $12. I was skeptical but decided to proceed with the appointment. The stylist emphasized the importance of not canceling since they commute from home to work. Despite my tight schedule, I rushed to make it for the 3:30 appointment, even though my husband needed the car for work at the same time. Upon arrival at 3:10, I was informed that the hairstylist was running late. After a 20-minute wait, I approached the stylist, who mistakenly assumed I wanted a hair color treatment for myself instead of a haircut for my son. The confusion led us to the front desk, where it was revealed that the haircut cost was actually $35, not the previously quoted $12. The lack of transparency and miscommunication left me frustrated, and the staff's indifferent attitude towards my situation was disappointing. Ultimately, I left without getting the haircut, feeling completely dissatisfied with the service. I would advise exploring other options in uptown Whittier for a better experience.
