Heather is such a delight! I was very concerned as the recommended list of seamstresses I was given by my wedding dress store was extremely booked and couldn't fit me in until 6 weeks before my wedding .... meaning I wouldn't pick up my dress until 2 days before my wedding! I decided to call Heather to see if she could fit me in and he said absolutely!! He got me in practically right away that same weekend! My dress was of course a very complex project as I had 3+ layers to it! Lace, sequin, tulle, and bottom layer! He hit the perfect length to make me float down the aisle! He relieved my stress and made my dress fit like a glove in a timely fashion... getting my fittings ready a month before my big day! To allow for additional tweaks if needed! I brought him multiple other dresses too that I needed shortened for my Bachelorette and bridal shower and those were also well done! One being a sequin dress that is a difficult fix! In addition to that, Heather is a lovely person full of love and laughs! I always enjoy my visits to his shop and highly recommend him! I've now brought him a number of other projects to see if he was interested and able to perform some very specialized items for me ... some being making a number of my grandma's sweaters and shirts into keepsakes of pillows, which he gladly said he'd love to do for me and my family. He even told me of other fun projects in relation such as table runners he's made and stuffed animals out of baby clothes as keepsakes! It was so nice and heartwarming of him to share these additional special items that I never thought to do as well as to have a local specialized seamstress who is willing to take on personal custom projects at a reasonable rate! I also was unable to find a seat cover for my swing pad and he will also complete this for me once u find the right material and provide dimensions. You will not go wrong with Heather!
Heather is truly EXCEPTIONAL. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I had a bridal dress CRISIS and I needed my dress taken in a whole size 3 DAYS before my wedding. I contacted 4-5 other seamstresses who simply said “can’t, good luck.” Heather instantly replied to my message and said not to worry, she will help and will ensure my dress looks flawless for such an important day. I had immediate relief and my anxiety was gone due to his kindness and caring about my situation. Heather displayed exceptional quality work, fair pricing, and went above and beyond to correct errors from a previous alteration! I will be returning to Heather and recommending him to any family/friends! Wish I knew about him sooner!! He saved my day.
I've gone to Heather multiple times over the years. I originally found him because he was able to replace the zipper in an expensive designer bag that no one else could repair & I was so impressed. His service & quality is top notch. I recently went to him for my wedding dress alterations & the dress fits beautifully. I'm so amazed at his craftmanship. He is an honest, caring, & compassionate business owner. I highly recommend Heather's Tailoring & Custom Sewing for anyone needing formal wear or alterations on anything!
