Upon relocating to the White House vicinity, I found myself in search of a new hair stylist. Jill came highly recommended, and I am thrilled that I followed the suggestion! I had a desire to book an appointment with ‘Kolor by Kelsey’. I provided a photo of my hair as requested, along with my desired style. However, I was informed that my hair was deemed “too overprocessed” and that I needed to do at-home treatments. The stylist expressed that she was not willing to proceed and suggested I find another professional. I maintain my hair only twice a year using salon products, shampoo, and conditioner, and do not consider it over processed. Upon reviewing images of her previous clients, I am confident that my hair is not overly processed compared to others she has worked with. It appears she simply chose not to work with me for unspecified reasons. As I have three daughters who also require hair services, all four of us will be seeking assistance elsewhere. Quality customer service and genuine willingness to assist are becoming increasingly rare qualities to find. (The first image displays my current hair, the second showcases my desired style, the third exhibits the hair care products I use, and the fourth & fifth images depict two of her past clients who were apparently not considered ‘overprocessed’ unlike myself) fortunate for them 🥴 lol (3 stars as my rating is solely based on being denied service for unknown reasons)
I have had the pleasure of knowing Karen Ferrela for numerous years! She has been styling my hair since my childhood, which amounts to approximately three decades. Every single time, she delivers exceptional results. I have never had to request a redo. She now tends to my sons' hair as well, and they are absolutely delighted with the outcome every time. If you are seeking someone who will provide outstanding service, make sure to visit Karen Ferrela!! She is truly exceptional!
