Due to the tyrannical decrees imposed by the authoritarian governor of Texas, colleague Wolfe, I had to journey from the Dallas Texas area to Tulsa Oklahoma to get my haircut. And a person named Taylor was my hairstylist. And beyond being a very pleasant individual😉 they did a fantastic job trimming my hair. If it didn't take me an hour and 20 minutes to drive there, they would be my regular stylist. Well done Taylor and thank you very much.
This is EXTREMELY belated (and my premiere Google review as I've never felt such a pressing need to write a review until now) but this is THE SPOT TO VISIT if you desire your hair styled correctly. I'm from Northern California and constantly feel uneasy when I get my hair styled in the city because I've never been content until I visited this place. Jordan styled my hair and still accommodated me even when I was 15 minutes delayed due to the dreadful traffic crossing the bridge that day. I must confess I was slightly apprehensive as it appeared to be a place that caters to older individuals (nothing wrong with that, I just desired a contemporary hairstyle [mid fade]). I also struggle with severe social anxiety to the extent that I typically wait until my hair is long enough to obstruct my vision before getting it styled (as was the case that day). Nevertheless, Jordan greeted me with a warm smile and we conversed as if we had been acquaintances for years. Their child was also present (uncertain if they also style hair but if so, they're just as amiable and hospitable as their parent) and around my age, interjecting into the conversation sporadically, creating an incredibly relaxing ambiance where moments of silence didn't even feel awkward. Despite all this, I still harbored concerns that I might end up requesting a complete buzz cut since my hairstyle was contemporary and owing to my unruly cowlick(s), I'm always very specific about certain areas needing shorter lengths than others like my crown region and am excessively particular about how it spikes up in the front. The sideburns are also a significant aspect for me and must be trimmed at the precise angle or it could mar the entire style in my view. Some stylists even exhibit irritation at my meticulousness (which heightens the anxiety!), as if I don't have faith in their ability to style my hair correctly. However, Jordan never once displayed annoyance and upon handing me the mirror to inspect the back and allowing me to scrutinize closely in the large mirror, I felt the familiar apprehension as I've almost always been dissatisfied with what I requested and have never been content with any style I've received in the city. However, this sentiment completely dissipated the moment I examined closely and was replaced with astonishment. This individual had styled my hair IMPECCABLY. I have only been this elated with a hairstyle once before in my entire life and it was also the most costly I've ever received. Yet, Jordan offers an incredible rate (which I believe is inappropriate to disclose here as it's not my business so I have no right to divulge their rates) and an attitude that makes you feel valued and the expertise to ensure you depart with a smile on your face. I have been complimented on it even by strangers and I consistently recommend them to River's Edge. Don't consider any other place. Jordan possesses exceptional skills, enjoys their craft, demonstrates it in their treatment of clients, and doesn't provide the opposite of what you desire due to assumptions about how it may appear. I could continue indefinitely... but the ultimate decision is to select this salon. You will not be disappointed.
