Curtis is my hair guru, and I can't stress enough how impeccably he attends to his clients. He dedicated time to elucidate all the care and upkeep of extensions, meticulously matching my natural hair hue to the extensions. The speed from ordering the extensions to installation was swift, especially as Curtis took the effort to perm them for texture alignment with my natural hair. I wholeheartedly endorse him :)
I arranged a debut appointment for my Mother and myself for blowouts before a film premiere, and appreciated when Curtis Blue messaged to confirm the appointment the eve prior for both of us. I had contemplated booking at Drybar but saw the glowing reviews and opted for a local spot. Today, Curtis messaged me 4 hours before the appointment citing vertigo, and regrettably could no longer style our hair, canceling both my appointment and my mother's. All this communicated via text, where I sought a resolution, and he proposed his assistant for a solo blowout. However, the pricing for the assistant mirrored that of a regular stylist, prompting my inquiry, which seemed to agitate Curtis, accusing me of dissatisfaction with his solution. Feeling stressed and desperate for clarity, I persisted, only to have my appointment axed, the assistant offer rescinded, and Curtis cease responding to my messages. Despite my pleas for assistance, he switched off his phone. While I sympathize with his ailment, the unprofessional conduct towards a new client in need of service for a significant event is disheartening. Drybar would have arranged a replacement stylist, sparing me from being left untreated before a film premiere.
I cannot stress enough how utterly let down and enraged I am by my visit to The Powder Room. It was a complete nightmare from beginning to end, an ordeal I wouldn't wish on my worst foe.
