I had a not-so-great experience at Zazen. I received multiple services, but ended up with first degree burns on my eyebrows from the waxing. The technician acknowledged the burn but did not apologize or offer a refund. The lack of responsibility and customer service was disappointing. My toes also chipped within a day. My nails and cuticles were a mess. I was unhappy with their appearance, but Annie's once again delivered. They took their time and gave me a nice manicure, challenging on short nails. Absolutely dreadful experience at a barber shop. The individual working there claimed to have 14 years of experience but completely disregarded my requests. I showed a picture of the hairstyle I wanted, a faded fohawk, and explicitly asked to avoid it looking like a mullet as a previous stylist had done. However, she insisted that the picture was a mullet and that the result would be the same. I visited another salon, and a lovely elderly lady had no issue replicating the style I desired, even improving upon it. The lack of consideration for customer preferences was astounding. I have been getting tattooed by Alex every few months for the past two years. They are accommodating, the studio is consistently spotless, and the other artists are fantastic. Each tattoo is completed efficiently and heals perfectly. The pricing is reasonable, and communication with Alex is effortless via email and Instagram.
