I adore Taru and their team for always exceeding my expectations when it comes to styling my hair and my daughter's. The results are consistently fabulous, and the pricing is fair for the quality of work they deliver.
I invested $180 on Havana twists and left feeling utterly disappointed. The stylist was constantly on her phone, chatting away for 7 long hours. When I pointed out the unevenness, she dismissed it by saying the longer side should be in a ponytail. One side ended up thicker than the other, and I left her place in tears. I wouldn't go back or recommend her to anyone.
After watching the movie Jumping the Broom and desiring Senegalese twists, I discovered Taru Hair Braiding. From my first visit, I knew I wouldn't need to search for another salon. The twists were stunning, my neck wasn't sore, and despite the length, I was done in just 5 hours! Ms. Taylor and her team are incredibly warm and hospitable. Unlike my previous salon where I'd wait 30-40 minutes even with an appointment made months in advance, at Taru, there's virtually no wait time. They work efficiently, with multiple stylists sometimes braiding my hair simultaneously, yet the outcome is consistently impeccable. They handle hair gently, and the attention to detail is remarkable. Post-braiding, they meticulously trim any protruding weave strands, ensuring a polished finish. People often inquire about my hair and marvel at the craftsmanship, although I find it irksome when they want to touch it. Ms. Taylor is a true professional, confirming appointments, maintaining punctuality, promptly returning calls, and ensuring clients leave looking stunning. For 2.5 years, Taru has been my go-to for hair care; they have my complete trust and loyalty.
