I have curly hair and got the worst haircut!! I thought letting it grow a bit would help but it’s only worse. In the meantime, I’ve tried new products, headbands and hats and nothing has helped. I called to ask for help fixing it and they could only offer me a new appt at full price since the original haircut was more than a week ago.
I went to Taylor Johnson for balayage. My regular stylist was not available and I thought I'd try since a friend goes here. Firstly, they say they do balayage. They don't. Balayage should be hand painted on the hair. There is no other way to do it. It should look natural and not totally change the color of your hair. The point of balayage is for it to look natural and sun-kissed. My stylist told me she had another way to do balayage and is used backcombing and foils (not balayage). I agreed, since I was already there and need my hair colored. Needless to say, my hair came out with way too many highlights and much too light. The color of the highlights is fine, but the amount is just way too many. I just wish these salons would stop saying they know how to do balayage when they clearly DON'T! Now, I will have to wait until July to go my regular stylist and have her fix the mess they made. Very annoying! If you want balayage, don't go here.
