Today, my 5-year-old son was eager to have his ears pierced. After calling around to various places, specifically seeking screw-on backings for safety reasons, I was informed by the individual at the front desk that they only use butterfly backings to minimize bleeding. Additionally, she recommended titanium over gold or surgical steel to reduce the risk of allergic reactions. This was crucial for me as it was my son's first piercing, and I wanted to avoid any potential risks. Our piercer, Ashley, was incredibly kind and expertly marked the placement accurately on the first try! Although my son cried after the first piercing and hesitated for the second, with words of encouragement from Ashley and the empathetic lady from the front desk, he bravely completed the second piercing flawlessly. The environment is clean and welcoming, not intimidating like traditional tattoo or piercing shops, which is ideal for children. I appreciate that the professional piercers have a tattoo shop background, using hollow needles instead of piercing guns commonly found in mall settings. They even gifted my son a plush toy and certificate, all at a reasonable price! Each ear piercing cost $30, and the titanium set was around $40.
