Old, worn-out bulbs that would likely require an hour under them to see any color. The floors and rooms are dirty, indicating a lack of focus on cleanliness. Deals are structured to expire before being fully utilized, and the lotions and samples are excessively priced. However, the personnel at this establishment are notably friendly and kind.
I am once again reaching out to caution individuals against conducting business with Sun TAN CITY!!!! I initially purchased a membership on 3/15/24 to achieve a tan before my upcoming cruise. There was absolutely NO mention that the membership only allowed access to faster and fastest beds for one week! On my 4th visit, I was informed that I had to use one of the older beds. It seems that the mechanism controlling how low the top descends must be faulty, as it came down on my forehead and torso. I was unable to move my head!!! Upon addressing this at the front desk, I was informed that there was no issue with the bed, but I could pay to upgrade. Disappointed, I left. Upon calling back, I was assured that the manager could rectify the situation the following day. On my return, the manager reiterated that it was what I had agreed to and that no adjustments could be made. Her demeanor clearly conveyed a "too bad" attitude, despite the policy being outlined in the agreement. I emphasized the unethical practice of not clearly stating that only the first week allowed tanning in the better beds. I declared my decision to sever ties with Sun Tan City! Upon returning from my cruise, I discovered an additional month's membership charge on my account! I visited the studio to ensure cancellation, only to be directed to call the main office. After making the call, I was informed that I had to cancel in person at the studio where I signed up. The representative on the phone refused to waive the charge, insisting I should have canceled before April 1st. I explained my absence due to being on a cruise without access to communication. I highlighted that I signed up on March 15th and should not have been charged for another month until April 15th. Despite this, the representative maintained that the charge would stand, but I could opt to upgrade. I STRONGLY ADVISE ANYONE CONSIDERING A TANNING SALON for events or trips to seek out an ETHICAL ESTABLISHMENT. AVOID SUN TAN CITY!
