After conducting an online search, I decided to give this salon a try, and I am delighted that I did. The service was swift and the individuals were kind, meticulous, patient, and attentive. Although there was a slight language barrier, it was easily overcome with the help of Google Translate. When I entered the salon, my hair was visibly damaged to the point where I was contemplating cutting it off. However, upon leaving the salon, I am hopeful that with continued visits, they will aid in restoring my hair's health.
This establishment is extremely unsatisfactory. I requested a wash and set priced at $45, yet they attempted to charge me $65 and had the audacity to claim that I did not receive a wash and set but a wash and blow, which is nonsensical. Furthermore, they argued that natural hair incurs additional costs, which is illogical. So, if I had arrived with a weave, would the service have been cheaper? Additionally, their daughter attempted to persuade me by stating that my hair is long, which is not the case. I will never return, and I do not recommend this salon. I certainly did not pay $65. Due to being Black with thick hair, they attempted to overcharge me, treating me as if I were unintelligent. It would have been better if they had been honest about slow business and opted to overcharge me assuming I wouldn't notice. They informed me that the service costs $45 and above, yet this information is nowhere to be found on their price list. Improved management is necessary. The stylist who worked on my hair was pleasant, but the owner's conduct was appalling. Sort out the issues. Do not overcharge customers based on their hair texture. If you have a set price, stick to it. Do not claim an additional $10 for blow-drying and $10 for deep conditioning on top of the $45 for a wash and set. It is unreasonable. AWFUL experience.
If you are African American, avoid this salon. If you are African American with thick hair, steer clear as they will unjustly overcharge you for it. Despite advertising a $40 wash and set, they tack on an extra $25 for blow-drying.
