I had a significant amount of hair cut by Shelly. She is a fantastic hairstylist. I am thrilled with my new hairstyle!
I entered this establishment with the hope of getting my 5-year-old daughter's hair trimmed, a process that usually takes 10-20 minutes. Myself, my friend, and my daughter arrived around 7 pm, as the sign and Google indicated the place was open until 8 pm. We walked in and patiently waited while the woman behind the counter engaged in a conversation, more like gossiping, with a customer. We stood there for about 20-25 minutes, waiting for the gossip session to end. Kathy and Teresa noticed us but did not acknowledge our presence at all. They let us wait for 20-25 minutes, knowing we were waiting to ask a question, and did not even inquire if we needed assistance once the gossip session ended. The woman immediately walked away to pack her things, presumably to leave for the day. It was already 7:25 pm. We had to almost demand her attention to ask our question after waiting for about 24 minutes. When we inquired about a quick haircut for my 5-year-old, she informed us they were fully booked for the night and were closing as they had been working all day. She did not offer to schedule an appointment for another day or acknowledge the time we had wasted waiting and being ignored. I understand being fully booked or wanting to go home, but not greeting a customer and letting them wait in the hope that they leave is unacceptable. The customer service here is extremely lacking. I used to frequent this salon a long time ago and decided to take a chance by walking in. That chance turned out to be a waste of our time. The salon appeared outdated and unwelcoming, almost exclusive; however, I managed to get my daughter's hair trimmed last minute at a friendlier salon nearby that was more accommodating to a quick children's haircut. I will not be recommending this salon.
I absolutely adored this establishment! I felt so welcomed and comfortable expressing myself. The atmosphere was incredibly serene. Theresa was exceptional! She was gentle and consistently checked on me. I will definitely return in the future.
