I have visited this salon twice. The first time, Alex was extremely friendly and did an excellent job on my pedicure. However, during my second visit for a dip on my nails, I had the male technician. I chose a lovely pink color, but halfway through, I noticed they appeared orange. He acknowledged the error and mentioned they would look pink after buffing. Unfortunately, they remained an unappealing orange hue. He had to remove the color and start over. When I went to wash my hands, he disappeared and Alex took over the service. She advised me to check the color after the first nail next time. I felt blamed and she didn't engage with me as she applied the new color. How was this my fault??? The lack of apology or acknowledgment of my time was disappointing and the service was quite rude.
I have been a patron of this salon for over a year now, but this morning was the final straw. I had scheduled an appointment with Alex for 8:45 am today (1/16/2023). After waiting in the parking lot for 15 minutes, I decided to call her. The landline went to voicemail with a full inbox, and the 210 number on the window also went to voicemail with a full inbox. I attempted to text her and finally received a response. She had forgotten about my appointment and asked me to come back tomorrow! Despite enduring her habitual lateness, overbooking, and long waits in the past (even with appointments), this incident was too much for me. The only reason I continued going back was because she was skilled at removing in-grown nails on my big toes. However, she has caused me to bleed on multiple occasions! If anyone knows of a salon near or in Spring Branch with a capable professional for in-grown nail removal, please share the information.
