Drove for over 30 minutes and arrived 20 minutes early. No one was at the reception for about 4 minutes. Then, I was told the last two appointments were booked. After waiting a bit, it seemed like the last appointment was canceled. I asked if I could just get an eyebrow wax, but the staff refused and mentioned they couldn't schedule appointments after 7:46. Poor customer service, won't be returning.
Extremely disappointed with my recent visit. This was my 2nd time here. The first one was at least 2 years ago. I came in for a much-needed eyebrow wax. The individual who performed the service ended up removing skin from both the top and bottom of my eyebrows. It was so severe that I ended up bleeding above and below my eyebrows on both sides. After applying wax multiple times and my skin still bleeding from 4 spots, the wax specialist asked if I had used retinol. I mentioned that I had used it once about a week ago. It was only then that she mentioned the sensitivity issue with waxing and retinol. Despite the bleeding, I was taken to the reception where another person searched through drawers for a supposed "medical clearance" regarding retinol. Failing to find it, they offered to comp the service (which I appreciated). My main concern is that the waxing was done numerous times before addressing the problem. Now, I'm left with red, exposed, and bleeding skin in multiple areas. I've taken breaks from waxing before, but never experienced anything like this.
I've frequented EWC for years and have visited 5 different branches. The reception staff at the South Tampa outlet are consistently welcoming, I rarely have to wait long for my appointment, and the technician is fantastic. Ana has been my go-to and she's incredibly kind!
