Aimee styled my hair for the first time today, and I must say she did an exceptional job! I opted for a partial balayage without a specific color vision, and she provided me with suggestions that turned out beautifully. The richness and dimension in the color are exactly what I wanted. Aimee's expertise in color and technique is evident, and the salon ambiance is delightful, adding to the overall experience.
The experience at House of Her is unparalleled! These hairstylists are a rare find, offering exceptional service, a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring your hair reaches its full potential. Since I started seeing Alex, my hair has been healthier and stronger thanks to her tailored advice and product recommendations. Every color treatment she does results in stunning outcomes, garnering compliments for weeks. I highly recommend this salon; it's the only place I trust with my hair and consistently receive top-notch service.
AVOID THIS PLACE...I recently relocated to the Portland area and needed a new hairstylist. I discovered this salon on social media and was impressed. I scheduled my appointment with the owner well in advance. Upon arriving for my appointment, she informed me she was running 30 minutes late, to which I agreed to wait. However, after 1.5 hours passed without any communication, I decided to leave. As I was walking to my car, I received a text apologizing for the delay and offering to still do my hair. I reluctantly returned. I had requested a root touch up, a precise haircut, and some additional blonde foils at the back. She began by cutting my hair, and I expressed my satisfaction with the length. Despite this, she continued cutting for another 2 hours. During the bleaching and glossing process, my scalp started burning, and when I mentioned it, she simply wiped my head with a towel. Upon payment, she charged me $375, which took me by surprise, but I paid without confrontation and left a tip. Upon reaching home, I discovered that parts of my hairline were burnt bald and the left side was blistered and scabbed. I requested a partial refund, but she refused, insisting I return to the salon for a diagnosis. I declined and will never return. She even had the audacity to compare her service to a Nordstrom return policy, showing her lack of understanding. I will be reporting her and seeking legal advice. This seems to be a recurring issue based on past reviews. I would have been willing to pay the high price if the service had been worth it, but she is clearly unprofessional and disrespectful of clients' time.
