I was contemplating leaving feedback, but I felt so disheartened that I decided to share my experience. I would not recommend this establishment if you have a child on the autism spectrum, even if they are high-functioning. I'm also unsure if this is due to my child being transgender, a thought that only occurred to me just now. The entire encounter lasted five minutes and it was incredibly frustrating. My child goes in, gets called back, as he's walking back he tries to sit in the chair but struggles due to the leg rest in the middle. The stylist's response was, "Just sit in it like a regular chair." To which he jokingly says, "oh darn" as a jest. She then retorts, "Okay, don't use that language with me." Children with autism often have language difficulties, and he was simply joking. While I understand that people have different sensitivities, there is a way to correct without being patronizing. When my son mentions he doesn't like looking in the mirror (another common issue for autistic children), she responds with, "then close your eyes." This has never been a problem at any other salon, where they would simply turn him away from the mirror for his comfort. His hair had some knots at the ends, and she mentioned his "whole head was tangled" and she wasn't trained (?) or equipped to handle that, suggesting only a buzz cut which was the opposite of what he desired. As I try to discuss options with him, she continues to speak to us in a demeaning manner. I have never encountered a hairstylist so abrupt, condescending, impatient, and lacking in compassion. We left within five minutes, and he was close to tears. I am genuinely upset and disappointed as it not only ruined his day by not getting the haircut he wanted but also because he was treated poorly. Now, I have to work on rectifying this, and I find it so... terrible. I don't even seek compensation; I simply want to caution others. Despite this, I am giving two stars because the receptionist who checked us in was very kind and efficient.

I visited on a Monday afternoon with no wait, which was pleasant. My stylist was Kayleigh, who did an exceptional job. Upon sitting in the chair, she asked several questions to ensure clarity on my preferences. She maintained engaging conversation and was friendly while meticulously cutting my hair, ensuring each strand was perfect. The atmosphere was welcoming, so I will definitely return!

The salon is impeccably clean, and the team is courteous and respectful. The service was outstanding, and the prices are reasonable. I received the best haircut I've had in a long while.
