I selected this salon based on its excellent online reviews. The establishment was indeed immaculate, and Kate was welcoming. I requested a long bob with subtle layers at the ends - nothing overly complex. I showed a few reference images, we discussed the specifics, but what I received was not quite what I had asked for. The whole process felt rushed. The front appeared shorter, and she styled my hair by curling the ends inward (not how I intended to wear it), making it difficult to gauge the true length of the layers initially. When I straightened my hair at home, I noticed all the inconsistencies, which was quite disheartening. The layers in the front were significantly shorter and uneven. I called and left a message requesting assistance to correct it, but no one returned my call.
Kate is absolutely fantastic! My partner and I both have our hair styled here, even though we have very different hair textures, and we are both thrilled with the results! My partner's curly hair has never looked healthier, and his natural curl pattern has finally returned, all thanks to Kate's expertise!
I adore Porter Salon! I have been a loyal customer since they first opened. Kate has styled, colored, washed, and blow-dried my hair on numerous occasions, and it always looks fabulous. Shauna has done my makeup for weddings and events, and I have been thrilled with the results. Recently, I transitioned from dark brunette to a fiery red hue, and the team did an exceptional job. It is a female-owned business that employs dedicated individuals. It is definitely the perfect spot if you are considering changing stylists!
