I have been frequenting this salon for haircuts for my children and myself for three years now. The stylist is incredibly talented, and we always receive compliments on our haircuts. Sitting in her chair is always a relaxing experience as she chats pleasantly while working her magic. She covers a wide range of topics in her conversations, including discussions about God, which some may find off-putting, but I find her approach very sweet. The service is usually satisfactory, but today when I arrived, there was only one technician available. A Caucasian couple entered without acknowledgment, and the technician, who was working on my nails as a Black woman, chose to assist the couple instead of finishing with me, the first customer present. I tried not to react to the situation based on my skin color and contemplated leaving without paying, timing how long it would take for her to return. She spent about 15 minutes with the couple before coming back to complete my nails. The customer service today was terrible, and when I addressed her actions, she became defensive. It is unacceptable for an establishment to prioritize customers based on their race. This issue needs to be addressed. Furthermore, she was upset about giving me a $15 discount and refused to add the diamonds I had initially requested on my nails before her careless decision. It was disappointing to be treated this way as a customer.About

Yesterday, I had my first haircut at this salon with Jess, and I couldn't be happier with the results. After moving to Houston last fall and not having a haircut in almost a year, my wavy 2b hair was transformed into beautiful 2c/3a curls. Jess took her time with the cut, asking questions to understand my preferred style and hair concerns. She explained the products she used and how to apply them. The Innersense product line she used worked wonders on my hair. Even on the second day, my curls looked just as good as they did after the cut. While the total cost was just under $200, which is a bit pricey, it included the cut, wash, styling, product recommendations, and tips. Excuse my henna-stained fingers. I asked for black shellac, but I'm disappointed. The polish is sheer, showing my skin underneath, and it's already chipping after a few days. I called for help, but they insisted I come in, which is inconvenient for me. They wouldn't offer a solution over the phone. I just wanted nice black nails for Halloween, but it's been a letdown.About
