My mother-in-law brought us to the Good Feet shop on Friday evening at 5 pm because she had acquired "the set" from a shop in Des Moines, and was quite satisfied with the progress she had achieved in terms of reducing her back discomfort with walking in just 3 weeks. I was EXTREMELY skeptical that I would wear the system enough to justify the expense. I never wear shoes or slippers indoors, just socks, and to alter that habit at 53 years old would require some serious convincing. However, my husband has struggled with his back for years, and my son has the same genetic lumbar stenosis, so I thought if it could help anyone, they would be perfect candidates. Turns out I was mistaken. We were ALL candidates. Laine assisted all four of us for FOUR HOURS, addressing our queries, and assisting us in trying everything out. Not once did they glance at the clock, even though we kept them 2 hours past closing. They even aided in sorting out and rectifying my mother-in-law's set, so now she has the proper set, which she didn't receive from the Des Moines shop (for what reason, we have no clue, we're just grateful to Laine for working so diligently and being so thorough in getting it rectified for us!) They were very firm that genuine changes require time, and I'm certain they do, but I can attest that after a full day today, and the 4 hours in them yesterday, the system relieved pressure on my Lupus-affected joints in a manner that even $400 custom orthotics didn't come close to achieving.
Dropped by to get fresh pads for my brand-new shoes. River was exceptional! They checked my file & we chatted about my well-being. They inserted new pads into my new shoes. They offered some fantastic recommendations for the future. Plus, they gave me a water bottle to keep me hydrated during my errands! Thank you River, & Good Feet, for your wonderful assistance. I will return!
My kin and I were greeted by a young man named Aidan. We had a few inquiries and Aidan was very polite and explained everything we needed to know in a way that even my 12-year-old grasped.
