I've had a conch piercing for around two and a half years now and I've tried various hoops and studs. I decided to switch things up and visited banter in search of a new hoop. They suggested the gold hoop shown, but I felt it appeared too small. The employee assured me that it was the right size and warned me about potential swelling for the first couple of days. I requested her to put it in, but following policy, she declined, mentioning that it might require some force to clasp. After spending $140, I had this new hoop which proved to be extremely difficult to clasp. Once I managed to put it on, it felt too tight, and when I tried to remove it, I couldn't due to the initial struggle with clasping. Myself, my sibling, my parent, and friends all attempted to remove this troublesome hoop, but to no avail. After days of unsuccessful efforts, my ear was continuously bleeding, and I was in excruciating pain. Finally, as a last resort, I rushed to the emergency room where three medical professionals struggled for 2 hours to take out the piercing. Upon removal, it was discovered that due to the tightness of the hoop and the prolonged wearing, it had torn my piercing. Now, I am unable to wear any piercings in that hole until it heals, which could take approximately two months. Not only did it damage my piercing, but it also cost me a significant amount of money that I could not afford to waste. Thank you, Banter.
This is a fantastic place for jewelry and piercings. The variety is amazing, and the staff is exceptional. I've had two sets of ear piercings at the Deptford Mall location.
