Nurses were exceptional. The Doctor was extremely dismissive, rushed through the appointment, did not take me seriously due to my age. I shared my pain and stiffness issues, provided my complete medical history. He insisted I didn't have arthritis, so there was nothing he could do. He simply said, "There's nothing wrong with you, I can't assist you." He suggested I consult my primary doctors for pain relief. Being 19, I refuse to rely on pain medication for life. When I asked for advice on alternatives to stretching at the end of the appointment, he ignored me, said he couldn't help, wished me a good day, and left. I didn't receive a summary of the appointment and had to leave on my own. I've never felt compelled to write a review until now. I'm deeply frustrated by the lack of genuine "care" I experienced today.
While some providers show excellent care and compassion, and the reception and nursing staff are commendable... HOWEVER...
I frequent the Wound Center every week. The care I receive is remarkable -- and believe me, I've never used such words for any other medical facility! The nurses are INCREDIBLE: vast knowledge, genuine support & empathy, provide gentle, attentive & up-to-date care, as do the Doctors. The nurses excel in communicating their planned medical procedures better than the physicians at times; this is an area where the physicians could improve. Overall, I rate every individual, including the office staff, particularly Shelby, well above the standard for medical care! I highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of specialized wound care!
