I have had the joy of exploring Dallas for haircuts and reiki sessions for a few years. Initially attracted to the salon by the inclusive and cozy atmosphere they portrayed online. I was not let down! The salon has evolved into a serene retreat for self-care moments. Dallas has consistently delivered exactly what I ask for. Additionally, she has shared hair care insights over the years that have significantly aided in repairing my damaged hair. The reiki sessions paired with scalp massages have been invigorating for both body and spirit. I cannot endorse Dallas enough! I depart the chair feeling radiant, inside and out!
I adore visiting Sparrow Hair Co. I have the most wonderful hair stylist Avery! The staff there are so warm and do an excellent job. I receive hair color and a trim.
I have been to Sparrow Hair Co twice now. First visit was with Riley. I truly cherished my time with her and the outcome of my hair. Second visit was with Avery and she also does exceptional work. I had intentions to return, but due to a negative and uncomfortable encounter, I have decided otherwise. I kept my feelings to myself and pretended it didn't occur. I truly wish I had spoken up to the proprietor out of respect for myself, but I did not. I seldom leave reviews, but I am penning this to safeguard others. I entered the salon that day not feeling well. Dealing with a lot internally physically and mentally. I contemplated cancelling, but did not want to inconvenience Avery so I proceeded. It was just Avery and the proprietor Riley that day. Avery and I were engaged in conversation, having candid discussions and getting to know one another. Riley had nothing to do as a client cancelled. She observed her working on my hair and listening to our conversation. Eventually, she engaged in conversation with me as well. I felt genuinely welcomed and at ease until I was left alone in my chair with the dye in my hair processing. They both moved behind a partition where they store supplies. I overheard Riley mention she did not care for me. Avery promptly defended me and mentioned she liked me and enjoyed our conversations. Then Riley commented that I was someone with too much trauma. As you can imagine, I felt extremely uneasy and upset. I have never experienced such a situation in a salon before. It was highly unprofessional and unwelcoming. I opened up about certain aspects of myself and my life in confidence. Only to be gossiped about behind a wall where I could clearly hear everything. To hear someone say they did not care for me because they assumed I had experienced a lot of trauma is disheartening. Many individuals have endured traumatic experiences. That does not diminish their worth as a person. In conclusion, I will not subject myself to that environment again. If you are reading my review, I hope this never happens to you and I hope this will not recur in the salon. It appears it is time to seek out another place where I can place my complete trust and feel genuinely welcomed. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
