I bought Groupons for a trip with friends and when I tried to schedule appointments, I was informed about an extra $26 charge not mentioned in the Groupon. I ended up canceling the Groupon. I probably should have checked the 3-star rating, says it all. The owner tried to shift the blame to Groupon, saying it should be there and that they have to contact them. Good advice. Lesson learned - always contact the merchant for any undisclosed fees before buying!
- when you use a Groupon, a $26 fee is added without prior notice until booking... And they claimed the credit card machine was "out of order" so they requested cash. - they weren't present when my spouse arrived, nor did they make contact. I had to make the call, and they appeared surprised as if they had forgotten about the appointment, mentioning they would be delayed by another 15 minutes (totaling 30 minutes late). - On another occasion, my spouse made a booking (I was unaware because it was a surprise), and they had overbooked the time slot. Unfortunately, it seems like the system isn't functioning well.
