I waited a bit to give a fair review. It's been over a month since my lash installation, and they're still holding up well. It was my first time getting lashes done, and the experience was fantastic. The atmosphere was so calming that I even dozed off. Phanniya was very accommodating and meticulous in perfecting my lashes. I recently had my navel pierced at this establishment. The piercer did not offer much explanation before or during the procedure, but I took it in my stride. They provided a standard piece of jewelry for me to switch into in case the initial one was too short. This raised a concern for me, as previous piercers have always advised me to return for any jewelry changes while the piercing is still healing. A day after getting the piercing, I noticed more tightness and discomfort than usual, so I sought a second opinion from another piercer (at a different shop) a couple of days later. I was informed that the piercing was done too long and with inappropriate ("novelty") jewelry, and that I would not be able to use standard jewelry if I allowed it to heal. The second piercer removed it for me, and I went back to queen’s gambit to address the issue. A different staff member was present during my visit, and she was somewhat impolite right from the start. I explained the situation regarding the piercing and inquired about a refund. She mentioned that they do not offer refunds but could redo the piercing for me despite me having removed it myself, without attempting to understand the situation or investigate what went wrong. 0/10, DO NOT TRUST HIM. He will switch up on you and gaslight you for mistakes he made so that he doesn’t have to refund you. Photos showing what I wanted versus what I got. I’ve been a customer for 4 years, have given him over $8,000 of my hard earned savings for business. I Was always patient and flexible when he would last minute cancel on me multiple times for his scheduling mistakes. January 2024, I booked for bleach and blonde extensions. I originally booked for Brazilian knots, but in person he convinces me to do keratin tips (by the time I removed them in April 2024, I lost extreme amounts of hair due to knot buildups around the hot glue). The bleaching went fine, but he picked out grey/blonde color extensions for the all around hair, and bright blonde for money pieces. I asked him TWICE if he was sure it would blend and he said yes. I fly back home to Los Angeles and notice the extensions are all different colors, extremely dry, and are not blending at all. I contact him, he says to use purple shampoo on my real hair and not the extensions. I do that, everything still looks terrible. I reach out again, he offers a redo. I asked what the redo would entail, he doesn’t respond. Multiple times I tried reaching out, he still doesn’t respond. At this point I found a new hair salon and paid over $700 to go brunette because no one could fix it. I had enough, I contacted a lawyer to help me write out a text message requesting I get a refund for the faulty extensions he provided or I would submit a small claims against him. He finally responded and was upset, but he understood and asked how much I wanted in the refund. Fast forward, he decides to gaslight me, telling me he didn’t do anything wrong and God is his witness, so he’ll only refund me $200 out of the $1300 I paid him. I told him absolutely not, I wanted reimbursement for the faulty extensions he provided. After going back and forth, he agreed to pay me back, but only if I gave him my personal home address so that he could take me to court. I told him again, absolutely not. So here I am, no hair redo, no refund, lost over $2,000, and now I am brunette instead of blonde all because of his mistakes.
