I have a mixed review of my experience here. My grandma and I came in for mani/pedis before a trip. Despite calling ahead to book, we were told there wasn't time for both services together. I returned for a manicure with Brittany and was pleased, but my grandma's pedicure experience with Avery was disappointing. It took the entire hour just to remove her previous gel polish, leaving her with jagged, crooked, and broken toenails. She paid $55 for an incomplete service and had to return for an additional $30 to finish the job. I hope the salon can make things right for her.
My manicure was nice, but the pricing caught me off guard. The total cost wasn't discussed upfront, which was a letdown. The website lists basic dip nails starting at $55+, but I ended up with an $80 bill for just basic dip nails without any design. While the nail technicians are skilled, the prices are inflated due to the location in Rockford.
I visited Xscape Salon for the second and final time last Friday. On my first visit a couple of years ago, the hairstylist toned down my hair color, which was not what I wanted. Giving them another chance last week, I left disappointed again. The hairstylist, Emma, didn't get the right color for my highlights and failed to deliver the haircut I requested. Overall, I had a disappointing experience and would not recommend this salon.
