I visited the salon at 5 PM today and was surprised by the long wait. Unfortunately, my appointment lasted until closing at 7 PM. The nail technician, Ken Hoang, was rough, causing pain, tearing my nails, and cutting me multiple times. He handled my hands roughly and displayed rude behavior throughout the session. I paid $85 for the service, but the outcome was disappointing and overpriced. If I had known the result would be so poor, I would have chosen a different salon or done my nails at home. I do not recommend his services.
My first experience at Solar Nails was not pleasant. I showed a picture for inspiration, and the initial quote was $85. However, at the time of payment, the total came to $95, excluding the tip. Five days later, one of my nails broke, and when I requested a fix, a different technician used a different style of nail, resulting in an uneven design. I was still charged an additional $5 for the repair. Moreover, only one coat of polish was applied, and under sunlight, the brush strokes were visible through the polish. I will not return to this salon and will opt for Luxury Nails instead. My vacation nails did not meet my expectations.
During my visit today for a full set of nails with white French tips, I was disappointed. The base color turned out extremely orange, which clashed with my dark brown skin tone. Additionally, the nail shapes were inconsistent, some resembling a duck shape instead of the requested square shape. The base color did not appear as orange while I was in the chair; otherwise, I would have addressed it immediately.
