The Tin Fin Restaurant

Traveling through the area and stumbled upon this spot on Google Maps... Delightful... my spouse ordered the swordfish special and it was cooked to perfection, while I opted for the southern bowl and it was excellent... the lunch-sized southern boil was $13, and I could only finish half of it... the Bloody Marys were priced at $8, which was reasonable, but the Guinness was also $8, which seemed excessively high, yet we still ordered the beers... Our server/bartender, Casey, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu... Definitely worth a visit.

My partner and I were thrilled to visit the Copper Kettle and indulge in a Sunday brunch after browsing the menu and seeing the positive overall reviews. Regrettably, our underwhelming experience left us with no desire to return. The dishes had potential, but they lacked flavor. The service only added to our disappointment. Waiting for drink refills should not be necessary. Having an empty glass for an extended period is not acceptable, especially when the beverage was part of a Buy One Get One offer, yet we were still charged for the supposedly "free" drinks. I had to point out the error in pricing to have it corrected. Our used plates were neglected and left on the table throughout our meal. As a former server and restaurant manager, my service expectations are high but reasonable. However, this experience was one of the worst I've encountered. We were questioned about the appearance and taste of our food as the plates were being placed on the table. I couldn't even take a bite before being asked. If they had inquired after our first taste and checked back with us during the meal, they would have realized our dissatisfaction. Despite requesting no tomatoes, a simple request, it was still overlooked. By the time they returned, it was to present the check, and I was eager to depart. The oysters were disappointing, requiring us to handle all the preparation ourselves, which was not indicated. I wanted to enjoy the meal, but unfortunately, I couldn't. The food lacked flavor, and the service was sluggish. If I could have returned the meal, I would have, and I wish we could receive a refund for the unsatisfactory items. I would have requested a reimbursement if they had bothered to check on us! They were not too busy to be moving at such a slow pace. I observed other tables receiving more attentive service than ours. I doubt we will revisit. I am thoroughly disappointed with this establishment. There is simply no excuse for such poor performance.

The cuisine was exceptional... seared bay scallops, haricot verts, and charred corn. The service was top-notch. I highly recommend dining here.
