I visited this store during a clearance event and the gentleman working there seemed more interested in chatting with the delivery person than assisting me with a price check on a tote located on the top shelf. He falsely claimed that items on the top shelf were not for sale except for coolers. He suggested I return on Sunday when his manager would be able to help. For better service, I recommend visiting the store on 21st Street where Jess and Michele are consistently helpful and friendly.
I am a fan of this Dollar General location. The Manager, known as Sam, is incredibly kind and always shows genuine care for my child, asking about her every time I visit. The store is consistently well-stocked and clean. I highly recommend it for a pleasant shopping experience.
The condition of the store is deplorable and makes for a terrible shopping experience. The lone employee, who appeared overwhelmed, was struggling to organize items while also manning the register. It's unfair for someone to have to manage such a chaotic store alone, and I suspect the staff are not adequately compensated. The disarray of the shelves and aisles only adds to the unpleasant atmosphere. Until these issues are addressed, I will avoid shopping in this unsafe environment.
