AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
I have never left a negative review before. Ever. Even when one of my previous stylists damaged my hair due to excessive bleaching, I stayed silent. I simply moved on to a new stylist without leaving any feedback. That is, until today, this situation is unavoidable. I do not want anyone else to experience what I just went through. PLEASE READ, and steer clear of Kristi Winoa!! She is unethical, unfriendly, overpriced, and does a terrible job with extensions. Do not be deceived by her before and after photos. I can attest firsthand that they are edited and do not reflect the reality of what your hair will look like, or endure just a week after visiting her. They may appear good initially, but you will realize the truth after reading the text message I sent to her. I went to her with hair that reached the very bottom of my neck, with breakage on the top and sides from excessive highlighting. What she left me with is far worse. Here's my message to her, and if the review allows, I will post the 18 pictures I sent along with it:
Hi Kristi, it’s Heather.
I'm reaching out because I've been extremely unhappy with my hair since my last visit. My scalp has been very irritated and itchy, and the color of my extensions does not blend with my hair, or with each other for that matter. I sought the professional opinion of two different stylists, both of whom have over 15 years of experience with extensions. I am very upset because it's much worse than I realized. I was informed by each stylist, independently, that not only was the coloring incorrect, but that the poor coloring was made worse by the placement of the wefts. Both stated that there was no way the hair she installed was new... it was used hair. I paid for brand new hair with expedited shipping.. that is not what you provided. I have irritation and bald spots in every area on my head where you placed my beads. I discovered that the end beads on all my rows were sewn together, and sloppily installed, some were already coming loose. I am extremely upset with all of this information. I paid you a significant amount of money to regain some confidence, and I received the complete opposite. I feel completely deceived, and taken advantage of by you. I have now had to purchase all new extensions, pay for the installation, and correct the color of the low lights you put in my hair. I believe a FULL refund, including the tip, is warranted. Unfortunately, you can't "refund" my bald spots, or the incredible hassle, and time spent fixing your mistakes. I am hoping you will rectify this within 48 hours. If not, I have already spoken with my credit card company, and they fully support me, knowing that what I paid for, is not at all what I received. I have not filed a claim with them yet, as I want to give you the opportunity to make things right. I am including photos for you, taken both indoors and outdoors in natural light.
This was my very first appointment with Kristi and for the first time I wasn’t anxious about someone working on my hair. She nailed it and nurtured it, and I am absolutely in love with my hair! Her expertise in blonding is simply outstanding. Adore adore adore. And I will definitely be returning!🩷
Kristi is INCREDIBLE!! I leave her chair feeling fantastic about my hair and myself. It's tough to find a stylist that excels at their craft and is also personable. Kristi is just that! She values her clients and has truly cultivated a wonderful atmosphere in her salon. I am thrilled with my hair and eagerly anticipate my next visit!
