I had an appointment and got seated promptly. Unfortunately, another individual walked in and requested my nail technician. They made me vacate my seat midway through my nail service, despite my punctuality and timely arrival. I was passed between three different nail technicians who all excessively filed my nails, wasting 30 minutes of my time. The final technician who worked on my nails did not even wash her hands before starting, and ended up getting some type of oil on me. I was genuinely upset and left as quickly as possible. I have no intention of returning since they do not prioritize clients who arrive on time for appointments.
Beware...I developed a severe nail infection here. The photo was taken one week after a gel manicure, with no tips, just my natural nails. I should have left immediately; the technician wiped blood off my cuticle after accidentally cutting it, using her bare hand, then proceeded to use the same tool on the injured finger and returned it to her drawer!! I regret not walking out right then and there.
Initially, I had high hopes for this establishment. I brought my sibling to Family Nails, hoping for almond-shaped nails but received something completely different. I was hesitant to leave a negative review, but this morning I woke up with inflamed cuticles and itchy bumps. This experience was far from satisfactory. The nail technician started off well, and I thought my nails looked decent. However, when a group of people walked in, she hurried to finish the job. The nails do not fully cover my natural nails, and I only realized what she had done after leaving. Instead of rectifying the situation, she opted to cut my natural nails to conceal the mistake, resulting in uneven and lopsided nails. They do not even resemble real nails. I am extremely disappointed with the outcome of my nails and will be returning today to address the issue.
