Today I strolled into this shop and inquired about the store owner, as I was considering discussing potential business opportunities. However, the individual at the register turned around and aggressively questioned my motives, insisting it was not my place to ask. He adamantly refused to disclose the owner's identity, displaying a hostile attitude and demanding I leave for daring to inquire. This lack of transparency is concerning, especially considering the store's presence in our community, primarily serving African-American customers. It's disheartening to witness businesses prioritize profit over accountability and openness. If I uncover the owner's identity, I will push for their removal.
The initial impression of this establishment was mixed; one staff member seemed disinterested, but the other, Marsha, stood out for her exceptional service. She exuded warmth and made every customer feel valued and welcome. It's regrettable that she is no longer part of the team. I genuinely hope for her return. Despite this, I appreciate that the store is black-owned and continue to enjoy its offerings.
