A steep price does not equate to superior quality here. This salon imposes excessively high rates for the services rendered, around $400 for a first-time client curly cut. The cut does encompass guidance on how to manage and style your hair, but that is rather standard for curly cuts from my experience. Nonetheless, I was prepared to pay a premium for what I anticipated would be top-notch service. Regrettably, I departed my appointment with Mallory disheartened and $400 lighter (plus gratuity), my curls limp and undefined. The cut itself was subpar. Furthermore, the haircut endured nearly 4 hours. I am baffled as to how they justify the price tag for this service. The caliber was lacking. Uncertain if my encounter was an anomaly, but I would recommend nearly any other salon in Portland that specializes in curly cuts, except NOT Gilded Fox. I've had curly cuts that turned out superb for less than half the cost subsequent to my visit to Gilded Fox.

Virtually any hair issue you may encounter, I am confident they can resolve it, plus some stylists have collaborated with numerous renowned clients and coupling that with the pricing, you simply can't surpass it. I came in with my hair essentially shedding and now my hair is the healthiest it's ever been, and I've observed rapid results. They also guided me on how to maintain my hair, and even gifted a complimentary silk pillowcase. If you desire the absolute best and someone who values your hair just as much as you do, or perhaps even more than you, this is the ideal place to visit, you will not regret it! Very reasonable pricing. They specialize in ALL HAIR TYPES!

While shaping my curls, Britney delicately inquired about my current hair routines and integrated that information into the guidance she provided me along with an array of hair care products. Collaborating with Britney was exceedingly beneficial and empowering beyond the pleasure of receiving a hair cleanse and a trim. Gilded fox aided me in mastering my curls!
