Insufficient personnel. I was informed of a 40-minute wait. I find it impolite for the staff to converse in their own language. I went in for a mani-pedi. I wanted to relax in the morning. They hadn't even had lunch. My attendant seemed irritated, and now I'm on the lookout for a new spot. I'd been a patron there for over 25 years.
I had an appointment and arrived on time. They told me to return in an hour! When I came back, I received a hurried pedicure, and they even cut my toe with the file! Sloppy work, and the worker was gossiping about me. Very rough treatment. My toes are still aching! I went to pay, handed over 40 bucks for a $28 pedicure, and she asked me if I wanted change? Of course! I took my change and left. She started yelling at the other staff that I didn't tip her.
I shelled out $75 for this service. I reckon I'd have been better off snagging some faux nails at cvs for $9 if I knew this is how it'd turn out. I believe that if you're going to charge competitively with the rates in the region, you need to ensure top-notch service for the customer. My nails were left uneven, and these were supposed to be almond-shaped... what a letdown. I should have stuck with my all-time favorite Cindy’s in Rye.
