Absolutely adore Charles David Salon (Exit 5 Long Pond Rd specifically). Taylor Lee is the top stylist I've visited in a long while! They're the kindest, most attentive, and so skilled at what they do. I wholeheartedly recommend and trust Taylor with my hair and you should too. You won't be let down.

I recently relocated to the area and was on the hunt for a good spot to start getting my hair done. After scouring reviews of various salons, I thought I was just getting a simple haircut, so I figured I'd be safe no matter where I went. I chose this place based on the reviews and was looking forward to my first appointment. I was able to get an appointment fairly quickly, so that was a plus. I went in for my haircut with Alex and was genuinely pleased with the result and the overall experience because they were also incredibly kind, warm, and pleasant to converse with. The haircut cost around $54 and I left an $11 tip. I returned home happy with my new haircut, but at one point, I noticed that one side appeared about an inch longer. My family suggested it might be due to the way it was blow-dried, and I thought that could be the case. Two days later, after washing my hair, I brushed it straight down and confirmed that indeed one side was noticeably longer. I proceeded to email and call, leaving a voicemail since it was after closing hours. I spoke with the Pinehills location the following morning. There was no apology. This was on a Saturday, and they informed me that the earliest availability was on Wednesday. I mentioned it didn't have to be with Alex, to which they responded Tuesday. I inquired if they could check with the Exit 5 location (36 minutes away from my residence), and the receptionist replied by offering the number. I declined and mentioned I would find it on the website. I then contacted the other location and they also mentioned Tuesday, I believe. I asked once more, really? I was frustrated that the salon had made an error and was unwilling to accommodate me. Eventually, I secured an appointment for that day and hurried over. Upon arrival, the stylist still struggled to even out the sides. I had to repeatedly request for more trimming, but she seemed skeptical, so I requested a second opinion. Another stylist came over, worked on my hair all around, and completed the task. I couldn't quite discern the outcome and said it was fine. I left a $5 tip out of guilt, but upon getting into my car, I noticed the unevenness persisted. Upon reaching home, I ended up rectifying it myself. This whole ordeal cost me about $68 and around an hour and a half of driving. I will not be returning or recommending this salon to anyone.

Had my hair styled today by Alex. My hair needed a major color tweak, but they assured me they knew exactly what to do and I'm thrilled to say, my hair turned out stunningly. The color complements my skin tone perfectly. They truly have a knack for this. Honestly, I couldn't have been happier with them and they're a kind individual as well! I also want to mention that the salon itself is exceptionally clean, well-organized, and the hairstylists and staff are extremely professional.
