I arrived and was promptly attended to, but was informed that they were unable to cut my child's hair due to their unfamiliarity with handling "ethnic" hair. They proceeded to cut my other child's straight hair instead. Later, a stylist across the room asked me a question, but I couldn't hear her. When I requested her to repeat, she did so with a hint of attitude. Although she mentioned another stylist could handle my curly-haired son, the overall experience left me wanting to leave. We paid for the haircut and departed.
It would be ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC if the individual responsible for hiring these stylists ensured they possessed adequate experience. I strongly suspect that the stylist who attended to me had no prior experience with clippers and struggled to understand basic English instructions. Essentially, I ended up with a buzz cut for $23 when all I requested was to trim half an inch off.
The stylists at this establishment are truly exceptional. I have a child with Down syndrome who typically struggles with haircuts due to sensitivity to touch. However, these women have been incredibly understanding and patient with him. Thanks to their care and expertise, my child can now get a haircut without any issues at all.
