Wonderful experience for our two year old's debut haircut! Well-prepared with plenty of diversions if necessary.
Beau at Madelines crew cuts and curls in North Stonington was a godsend. He trims my 3 year old daughter’s hair, and she is on the spectrum, making haircuts a bit challenging. Beau always finds creative ways to ensure children who may have sensory sensitivities or struggle with haircuts feel at ease. This time, he used a visual schedule and a visual support tool to guide through the haircut process! He also had tablets and sensory playthings available. While the salon doesn't explicitly advertise these accommodations, for parents of neurodiverse children, witnessing their inclusion and understanding is truly heartening. The 45-minute drive is absolutely worth it for us. Beau has gained customers for life!
