TIPTOP NAILS & SPA

I'm ecstatic that I stumbled upon this establishment one day while I was in Troy for physical therapy. I'm usually not that adventurous, but I decided to give this new place a try. I didn't have to wait and was seated promptly! I was attended to by Jennifer. She did an exceptional job on my less-than-desirable nails! She was quick and extremely amiable. I opted for chrome over my nail polish and I absolutely love it! The only issue I encountered was the significant price difference from the initial estimate. Oh, and I must mention, Jennifer doesn't use stickers! She is a true artist! Overall, I was thoroughly satisfied with my experience at this salon!

I've been frequenting this nail salon for a decade back when it was formerly KB Nails. The previous owners Kim and Lee were the most kind-hearted individuals. They delivered exceptional service and built relationships with their clients. When their family decided to sell the business, they encouraged their patrons to continue supporting the new proprietors. Initially, the new owners seemed promising. However, over the past year, their service quality has significantly declined. I've contemplated switching to a different salon on numerous occasions. Today, Tip Top Salon lost my patronage. I had an appointment for a pedicure and fill. Upon arrival, there were only two staff members present, yet I, as the first customer, was promptly ushered to a pedicure chair. Subsequently, a few more employees arrived, and walk-in customers began to trickle in. During what was supposed to be a 60-minute Royal pedicure, I was informed that they would complete my pedicure later and was relocated to a manicure chair. The impolite gentleman, whom I typically tried to avoid at the salon, proceeded to work on my nails. As usual, he barely uttered a word, except to curtly instruct me to relax as he roughly manipulated my hand and fingers, as if I were at fault and he was irritated with me. My handbag was then shifted behind me on the chair so that another customer could occupy the adjacent seat, as if it too were an inconvenience. I was then transferred to a different pedicure chair to allow another gentleman to finish my pedicure. While my nails may appear satisfactory, the overall experience was far from relaxing or welcoming. I was charged the full price for what was undeniably a subpar royal treatment. Having an appointment appeared to hold no significance, as the next walk-in customer was prioritized. I'm certain the owners are indifferent to my experience today, but I have consistently spent $125 or more monthly for over a decade at that salon. I will be taking my business elsewhere, where I feel valued. I am certain Kim and Lee would be disheartened by the current state of their former business.
