My experience at this nail salon was far from satisfactory. I was surprised by the additional $10 charge for cuticle cutting, a basic service that should be included in any manicure. The nail technician pressured me into opting for dip powder, despite my preference for regular polish. I was also hit with a $20 fee for polish that I believed should have been part of the pedicure package. The extra charge for nail reshaping, even though my nails ended up with the same shape, felt unjustified. The atmosphere with my technician, Kim, was unpleasant, and her negative demeanor was off-putting. This initial visit will certainly be my last at this salon.
I don't usually leave reviews, but I feel compelled to express my disappointment with the decline in quality at this establishment. Over the past year, I've noticed a significant drop in service standards. They no longer provide complimentary drinks and seem to push for the most expensive treatments. My recent experience left me feeling disrespected as the staff made fun of my choice of nail color, referring to my toes as "banana toes" simply because I opted for a yellow/orange shade for summer. This unprofessional behavior was off-putting, to say the least. I prefer doing my own nails, and this visit reinforced that sentiment, especially considering the hefty price tag. The massage was lackluster, feeling more like a brief leg rub than a proper treatment. The limited selection of regular polish is disappointing, with a clear push towards gel options and additional charges. Overall, the lack of effort and professionalism is evident.
I am utterly dissatisfied with my recent nail service. The day after my appointment, I reached out to speak with the manager, only to be offered a quick fix of buffing and applying a single layer of white polish to mask any discoloration caused by lotion or hand sanitizer. It is unacceptable that I was not informed beforehand that white polish could be affected by such common products. This lack of transparency and the subpar service have left me with no desire to return. Avoid this salon if you want to avoid overcharges and disappointment.
