I received prompt service upon arrival, which was fantastic; thank you. However, the rest of the experience was subpar when I requested the deluxe pedicure. The positives include a peaceful atmosphere, paraffin wax treatment, thorough callus removal. Unfortunately, the negatives outweigh the positives. The lukewarm water, use of a prohibited tool for callus removal, minimal use of sugar scrubs and lotion, and a brief massage were disappointing. Overall, not very impressed but moderately satisfied. (Apologies for the unappealing photo) I know my feet needed work, hence the pedicure.
Initially, I only planned for a pedicure with regular polish but opted for gel on my fingers as well. The senior lady performed the service. I had been dissatisfied with her work in the past. I requested to have my cuticles pushed back, as she usually just slides the tool along them.
Accompanied my elderly mother-in-law, who is 86 and has mobility limitations, for a pedicure session. It's a treat for both of us, usually! On this occasion, we waited longer than usual due to higher customer traffic. My sweet, elderly mother-in-law, who appears grandmotherly and can get confused easily but knows what she wants. The foot basins were filled, and we waited some more. I requested temperature adjustments for us; a man attended to mine and then went to finish a manicure. A woman set up to work on my mother-in-law's feet without greeting her. Despite multiple requests to cut the nails short, the woman seemed dismissive. While my pedicure was almost done, the gentleman's efficient and friendly service contrasted with the woman's attitude towards my mother-in-law's pedicure. Her nails were still untrimmed, and the woman's dismissive behavior prompted me to intervene. The gentleman, possibly speaking Thai or Vietnamese, instructed her to cut the nails. After several grunts and disapproving gestures, he took over and completed my mother-in-law's pedicure. It's challenging to get her out for activities, and personal care like pedicures is a big deal; being treated dismissively and rudely is unacceptable. We used to visit this place every two months for a year, spending money on pedicures and waxing, leaving tips. Unfortunately, we will no longer patronize this establishment due to the disrespectful treatment. It's important for service providers to be respectful and kind, especially when serving the elderly.
