August 2013 Sought a prenatal massage with positive reviews about the therapist and reasonable prices in Columbia. Found none, so searched in Lexington, where this place and massage therapist - Liz, had glowing reviews. Immediately booked an appointment. I was suffering from round ligament pain, especially in my right hip - it had reached a point where any movement or repositioning was painful, making walking and sleeping difficult. Nothing helped - warm baths, Tylenol, offloading, nothing. Liz was friendly over the phone and quickly scheduled me in. The spa is located in the Old Mill area of Lexington downstairs where Pooleoza is situated. The entrance may not be visually appealing, but her spa was lovely, spacious, and beautifully designed. She greeted me promptly, I filled out a health form, she asked a few pregnancy-related questions to ensure I wasn't a high-risk expectant mother, then briefed me on the spa details. The room was cozy with brick walls, and the table was specially designed for pregnant women with a unique massage pillow. The music was incredibly soothing. The massage was fantastic - she really worked out the knots. When she reached my hip, I almost wanted to cry with relief; those stretches and massages felt amazing. The session lasted about an hour. Afterward, I felt completely relaxed. My hip still hurt that night, but the next day and thereafter, I haven't experienced any pain in that hip since. That massage was exactly what I needed. I highly recommend her, and if I still lived in the Columbia area, I would go regularly until the baby is born and beyond. Every woman deserves that!
