Decent service, but the staff aggressively seek tips. If you tip $5 after a $35 treatment, they react negatively. This pressure for tips is a downside, despite the otherwise great service at the salon.
I've frequented the salon for five years, getting basic manicures and pedicures. Yesterday, I had two different stylists. The pedicure felt rushed, and my manicure was a simple one-coat job. I tipped for the manicure but didn't feel the pedicurist did a great job. On leaving, she accused me of not paying and demanded a tip. I believe tipping should be for exceptional service, not forced. I may avoid this salon unless necessary.
Desiring tips excessively, disregarding customer choice. Tipping should be voluntary, not coerced, even after subpar service. Tips should be a gesture of appreciation from the customer, not dictated by the salon.
