Today, my roommate and I came in to have my acrylic nails removed. The nail technician attempted to use other artificial nails to take mine off, but my set didn't allow for that technique. Instead, she resorted to forcefully breaking my nails, causing me intense pain. When I expressed my discomfort, she became defensive and raised her voice at me. I had requested the use of a dremel to prevent nail damage, but she disregarded my concerns, claiming that no harm was done because I wasn't bleeding. She even blamed me for having "too thin" nails. I was left trembling, holding back tears from the excruciating pain. The sides of my nails are now cracked and severely damaged. I will never return to this salon. If I could, I would give them zero stars. The comparison between my roommate's nails and mine speaks volumes. Our expectations for the same service were drastically different, and I left with my nails in a disastrous state.
We had made a reservation two weeks in advance for 6 pedicures for a Bachelorette party, only to arrive and discover that the salon had misplaced our booking, completely ruining our plans for the evening! Despite their error, they refused to accommodate us, and no other establishments in the area had availability for a group of our size at such short notice. We ended up having to purchase our own nail polish and do our nails ourselves, putting a damper on what was supposed to be a celebratory occasion. It was a major disappointment for our Bachelorette party.
My daughter and I have been visiting this salon for many years. The pricing, efficiency, and friendliness have always impressed me. I appreciate their flexibility in accommodating last-minute appointments. I understand that they prioritize fitting people in, even if it means a short wait. It's a relief not to be bombarded with chatter for hours while trying to unwind 🫣. This salon is definitely my favorite spot for a pampering session.
