Had a 6:30 pm appointment for a children's haircut with my son. Upon arrival, the stylist, Virginia, had just finished with a walk-in client. To my surprise, she opted to take another walk-in instead. There is no justification other than the higher haircut charge. She nonchalantly requested us to wait for half an hour. This is not the first time a scheduling mishap has occurred. The proprietor should genuinely enhance the staff's training.
Virginia is truly remarkable! She completely revamped my appearance with stunning highlights and a keratin treatment that left my hair incredibly sleek. Her expertise and meticulous attention to detail are unparalleled. Virginia has been the sole stylist to work on my hair since I was 10 years old. I highly recommend scheduling an appointment with her – you will not be disappointed!
Today I escorted my daughter to this Hair Salon to get a haircut, there were only two customers being serviced. The stylist glanced at us and inquired how can I assist you? I mentioned we are here for a trim. He then responded we are occupied. I informed him we could wait, but he stated we do not accommodate that. Implying he does not style hair for black individuals. In this current era of the United States and in Montgomery County, are you conveying to me that you are incapable of employing black stylists to cater to black hair as a business? This was the sole hair salon visible in the entire mall. It should be deemed unacceptable in this nation in 2024 for businesses to refuse to hire individuals to serve others. I felt profoundly discriminated against and consequently left. Disheartening.
