The quality at Serene Spa is average at best. I gave them two chances, and during my last visit for a trim ($45), I truly hope the feedback they receive helps them improve. It would be great to have a local salon that excels in the basic aspects of nail care. The service felt rushed, steps were skipped in the process, and the overall quality was lacking, especially with acrylics. The staff is friendly, but the quality falls short, sadly. I think I'll continue supporting salons in the nearby area of Destin.
I was given a gift card to visit Ribbon Hair Salon and after reading some reviews I was a bit anxious, but my visit turned out to be fantastic. I scheduled an appointment, and upon arrival, the stylist assigned to me was punctual and incredibly courteous. I brought my 5-year-old son along, and he also received a haircut, and the staff was so warm and welcoming. The salon was spotless, professional, and accommodating. Despite having thin and short hair, the stylist was gentle, and my haircut lasted longer than any other salon I've tried. I highly recommend this salon and will definitely return.
I will never return here! I felt rushed during my visit. We go to salons to unwind, not feel hurried. Additionally, I was charged $83 for a trim and a simple style, double what I usually pay at my regular salon. (My usual spot was fully booked, so I had to find an alternative.) If possible, I would give this salon zero stars. I work in customer service, so I understand busy periods, but having two stylists work on me simultaneously to speed things up is not acceptable.
