I frequently stroll past this establishment and decided to visit for the first time tonight to have my gel x removed. I neglected to peruse the feedback, and now I regret it. Initially, (like others) they attempted to lift the gel x ends with a transit pass and then resorted to using a drill, excessively shaving them down to the point of discomfort. I couldn't retrieve my credit card from my wallet without causing pain to myself and ended up in tears on my way home. I'm truly disheartened because I placed my trust in the technician to be knowledgeable, and now I'm in agony with my nails ruined. :(
I had to depart in the middle of the session. On a previous visit, I had a clear gel color applied to my natural nails which I adored, but after breaking two nails, I returned to have them repaired with acrylic. The technician began filing down my nails before starting the gel removal process with acetone. Later, she applied the gel only to have to remove it again (requiring more filing) after I reminded her about the additional acrylic. My nail began throbbing during the buffing, and that was the final straw. At this point, my nails feel sensitive and sore. They may be inexpensive, but the quality is lacking.
The standard of this salon is not up to par. My nails are riddled with bumps and indentations. In hindsight, I realized they overcharged me and pressured me into leaving a generous tip. I do not recommend this establishment.
